Questions are Golden

Why do I suggest that questions are Golden? Because asking questions is the smartest thing you can do and this makes you the smartest person you can possibly be. Nothing wrong with that is there.

If you don’t want to make silly mistakes, ask questions. If you make silly mistakes and don’t want to make them again, ask questions. If you want to get to the root cause of a problem, ask questions.

As human beings we are inherently flawed individuals. When we think we know it all we soon realise we do not know it all. If we do not realise this we will soon be told.

Asking questions if something most of us are encouraged to do. Unfortunately some cultures do not encourage asking questions as this is seen as being disrespectful. I call bullshit, it is a way of keeping people repressed and “in their place”, totally wrong if you want improvement in your life or your way of life.

Questions also challenge the status quo and improvement can only come from change.

The smartest people can be described as having “quick and penetrative” intelligence. As a result they fail to notice the small details and how the cogs interact with each other to make the world go around. They forget to ask questions.

So don’t think you are going to be seen as a dummy if you ask questions.

Ask away.

First question? What is the difference between concrete thinking and abstract thinking?

Questions work because you can use questions to test your own thoughts and the thoughts of others throughout and at the end of any decision making process. Asking questions does not mean that you do not understand or that a decision was wrong. Asking yourself how a someone else made a correct decision and discovering the answer will hold you in good stead in your future decision making processes.
